just now was looking at the live feed on fb (i camp there regularly) and i saw this feed from yizhin about a1, and her friend commented that a1 is coming back. and so i googled and then wiki-ed.

a1 is coming back!!! *squeals and throw confetti around

i dun think anyone of you knew, but i'm a BIG FAN of a1. i adored them more than westlife or backstreet boys. for some strange reason but yeah i love them to bits, even though they didn't manage to make it as big as westlife or bsb. i still remember back then i listen to Power 98 every day, partly because they seem to adore a1 too! somehow in that radio station a1 songs always hit the top of the charts! and the boys would do interviews with the radio station!

and of course my favourite was Ben Adams, the lead singer of the band.

i mean, it's not difficult to see why right? lol. mark was a close contender but c'mon, ben is the baby of the group and closest to my age (he's born in 1981). and his blue eyes... AWWWWW. not to mention he sings damn well! he can play classical piano, oboe and violin, and he got a scholarship for his musical talents! he also have performed regularly for big shots like the queen and the pope! like zam zai ok! but the bottom line is that he's cute la! hahas.

back in those days i hunted down all the local mags that features them and i do think i still keep some of them at home! though sometimes i just find his hair kinda disturbing. lol. but well, nick carter used to have similar hairstyle so i guess it's a typical heartthrob-of-the-band look. (i think kian egan and nicky byrne from westlife used to have similar hairstyle too, but kian totally cmi. nicky was better. :D)

and as i look back at those videos, i find them quite cheesy with those super close up shots of the band members. it's quite unnerving actually, unless it's featuring ben! (that way i can look at his eyes again!! lol) and i still remember how excited i was when they announced that they are coming over to singapore to film their single No More! but i was primary 6 and i can't go out by myself! if not i would probably try to find them. lols.


i bought all their albums (originals ok! and i was in primary school so you can imagine how hard i have to save in order to buy!) and i was damn mad at my bro for kinda destroying their first album Here We Come cuz i can't listen to Heaven By Your Side on stereo! (and i used to link that song to Angel Sanctuary, the manga which i was reading back then) i was so upset back then in 2002 when they split up after their 3rd album, Make It Good. it was a good album because they're no longer sticking to those bubbly pop songs and going for a matured sound (not like westlife!). i loved the entire album!

and 8 years later they are back! (without paul though) wiki said that they're gonna release a new album in spring, so it should be quite soon! super looking forward to it! but then when i was at ben's wiki, it was written that a1 will reunite for the last album! noooooo~ listened to their new singles and they were not bad! (:


anyways here's a matured ben at 29 years old! so much better aye! was googling for his pictures when i saw this topless pic of him. i was like zomg so hairy?! and then i remembered i've never seen any topless pic of him 8 years ago. and then there was another photo of him completely naked save for an object covering the most important part. i was like zomg again. lol!

seriously, seeing ben and the rest of a1 just reminds me of the past. it was around 10 years ago when i first listened to their music! oh how time flies! and i'm ready to fall in love with ben all over again!!! hahahas. so excited! (:

going for sakura buffet with hpy on 28th and then xiaolongbao buffet with yy fy jq on 31st! gonna gorge myself to no end! lols. and the launch event on sunday was rather fine! met up with peeps and though i was damn tired but it's worth it! i'm super looking forward to the summer hols!
