i realised i didn't exactly write down that i'm going to cameron highlands from monday to today. anyway the trip had been a good one, though it's damn cold. initially i thought e temperature will be like normal, conveniently forgetting the part highlands, until my dad told me the night before that it's going to be very cold. if not i would be freezing my ass off wearing shorts and berms. =x

anyway i dun think i would really write a lot, cuz there's a lot of photos. i've stored about 1028 photos from 3 cameras and there's 4 cameras in total. but there's alot of scenery photos so those that i've uploaded are pretty much the highlights.

me and my 2 cousins. huiwen (e one on the right) likes fahrenheit too! :D

if there's anything Cameron Highlands is well-known for, it's the strawberries.

the pasar malam near the hotel/resort that we're staying at. 12 of us staying in this 4room suite with the 4kids sleeping in the spacious living room (we dragged 3 mattresses out of the rooms). no internet connection though.

on tuesday after breakfast, went to a BOH tea plantation.

seriously, i ate a lot during this trip. for the 2 full days over there, breakfast had left me very full and right after breakfast were trips to tea plantations (on wednesday we went Cameron Valley tea plantation) and i drank tea and ate cake. then a few hours later would be lunch. goodness.

but at least i drank a lot of tea, which is supposed to help clear your stomach or something.

a turkey!
on my trip down e tea plantation, my dad opened a part of his car roof and i stuck my head out, taking pictures of the scenery in process. the road is single-laned, yet it's a two-way road, so when we are moving along blind corners, we need to sound our horns and it's quite cool, considering we would hardly use the horn in Singapore.

and i saw a fellow Saint who is in a car going up the plantation. that guy was wearing a SA cotton house tee for goodness' sake.

saw this cute little baby when we moved to another strawberry farm and i was quite unable to tear myself away from him/her. (i'm guessing him)

after lunch we went over to a nearby Cactus Valley where there's a whole horde of flora. there's butterhead lettuce (using hydroponics), roses, calla lilies, gloxinia, gardenia, ginvera and lots of other flowers that are really beautiful. or really nice to eat, as displayed above. (:

goes to show how much Cameron Highlands loved strawberries. found out that they actually made chocolate tea too! (smells of chocolate but taste just like normal tea)

seeing the worker make cement reminds me totally of last year's OCIP trip. make cement!

taken by my dad. (e red flower)

on the mattress.

on the third day we went searching for waterfalls. cant find the bigger version though.

then we went to another farm that has watercress and some other types of veggie. see the heart-shaped hole? <3after that we went to Cameron Valley tea plantation to drink tea, and then another BOH tea plantation where we climbed up one of the mountains to have a magnificient view of the tea plantation. it's seriously beautiful and made me feel as though i'm lost within the mountains and the sky.

after that was nothing much. just hanging around in the room.

oh yes. there's a Secret Recipe shop near my hotel and they are selling the cakes at damn cheap prices. i bought a slice of American Brownie at RM4, a slice of New York Cheesecake at RM5.50 and a slice of Sugar-Free moist chocolate cake at RM6.50, which totaled up to RM16.80 with 5% government GST. convert it back to SGD and it's barely enough for me to buy a slice of cake at a Singapore outlet. :D

took this shot when we were travelling down the mountain.

this trip was better than i've expected, though there's no internet connection or any mega shopping centres like Genting Highlands. i take it as a chance to re-connect with Mother Nature and threw everything else that await me in Singapore behind. this is something that i would need to do when i do some hardcore travelling.

i have been reading travel books and my wanderlust is growing in larger proportions, especially after this trip. let's hope i can start travelling soon. to leave behind all the things that i don't want to see.
