Frou Frou - Let Go

Drink up baby down
Are you in or are you out?
Leave your things behind
'Cause it's all going off without you
Excuse me too busy you're writing a tragedy
These mess-ups
You bubble-wrap
When you've no idea what you're like

Chorus:
So let go, let go
Jump in
Oh well, what you waiting for?
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
So let go, let go
Just get in
Oh it's all so amazing here
It's all right
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

It gains the more it gives
And then it rises with the all
So hand me that remote
Can't you see all that stuf's essential
Such boundless pleasure
We've no time for later
Now you can't wait
You roll your eyes
We've twenty seconds to comply

(Chorus) x2

In the breakdown
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown
The breakdown

So amazing here
'Cause there's beauty in the breakdown

this song is featured in one of the dances in Rapture last weekend and it's really nice. now still trying to find Mo' Ritmo which i think is a Spanish song. ahhh.

uhh. currently i'm back to my going-online-only-on-weekends routine which i had last year (think we started going online daily after my brothers finish their final exams or something), so i doubt i would be updating much, most probably once a week? yeah. i guess that answers to celine's exclaimation that my blog is dead. bo bian. :(

this week is slightly different from last week, cuz we had Learning Festival on wednesday and thursday. went for five courses when the minimum requirement is four. which makes me wonder why shouldn't they extend it to like a week? then i can attend more courses lo. but well, most of the popular courses were taken up once the online portal is open for registration. (it was supposed to be on friday morning, but some of us managed to log on on thursday after econs remedial. :D)

had film appreciation in school and film screening of Royston Tan's Sin Sai Hong (新赛凤) at National Museum on wednesday. National Museum is really cool! i like the living galleries alot! me huihui bernice elaine took photo inside the fashion gallery! (:

then yesterday had Dessert iLearn, sign language and kickboxing! the dessert that we've made, duchess (think it's spelt like that) taste really nice! i added ice-cream to the core and had a layer of chocolate on top the pastry like eclairs and it's marvellous after putting them inside the freezer for some time!

kickboxing is really cool, and i realised it's been so long since i've worked out. my arms and legs are aching like crazy today la! time to hit the gym or get on my bike soon! and after a's, i'm gonna sign up for courses like kickboxing, yoga/pilates, drums, guitar, dance and maybe taekwando! :D

then today. i'm having a potential eyecandy number2! haha. but my number1 will always be number1, cuz he never fails to make me happy whenever i see him! :D so he's gonna be one of the some people that i would definitely remember from SAJC! (come to think about it, Javin's definitely one of my eyecandies if i've stayed in NYJC. lol!)

i've been talking for this week (i think) about the food that i would remember and miss from sajc after i've graduated. and i've came up with quite a number so far:

1. pattaya rice and the chicken chop from the malay stall (i love the black pepper sauce! and the auntie is the first stall holder that i've gotten to know and she's a very endearing lady! no wonder everybody loves her. :D)

2. chicken cutlet, grilled fish and coleslaw from the western food stall! (seriously, they really rock! it's a pity that i only have a 30min break on fried food tuesdays and the cutlets are usually sold out after i've ended school for the day. and the coleslaw! was just eating it today and it's MARVELLOUS! better than KFC's coleslaw i tell you! and that's because it was only made the day before and they put it into the fridge overnight to make it really cold and crunchy! and the stallholders are really polite and nice!)

3. mee goreng from the hokkien mee stall! (it's probably one of the sweetest mee goreng i've ever eaten and there was this point of time i was wondering if it was cooked in the prawn mee way and then just added some tomato sauce to differentiate it from prawn mee or something. but it's great! gonna eat it next week! :D)

4. lime juice ice blended from the fruit stall! (i always add longan to it and it would give me brain freeze! and strangely i dun drink other juices. lol)

5. egg mayo sandwich from pop cafe! (i love it when it doesn't have tomato and has a strong taste of pepper! :D)

the rest is well, still okay la. still edible but doesn't leave that deep impression in me. and i wanna add that i like the dry mee hoon kuay from Broadway and the coloured pearls from the bubble tea shop opposite Potong Pasir CC and the T cube cafe somewhere near MacDonald's. one of the cub scouts' mother owns the shop! (the cub is in my group during group camp and i think his name is pronounced as wencillus.)

bad time to talk about food mann. not after i've eaten SOOOO MUCH for steamboat at home just now and is now trying to finish my bubble tea. ohmann!

the ocip people are having selection camp from like this evening till tomorrow... how fast a year has just gone by mann. to think that last year around this time i was attending the camp! sigh.

okay this entry is really LONGGGG. shall stop for now. haha!

there's a life out there for me

Mono - Life in Mono

The stranger sang a theme
From someone else's dream
The leaves began to fall
And no one spoke at all
But I can't seem to recall
When you came along

Ingenue
Ingenue
I just don't know what to do

The tree-line avenue
Begins to fade from view
Drowning past regrets
In tea and cigarettes
But I can't seem to forget
When you came along

Ingenue
Ingenue
I just don't know what to do

Ingenue, I just don't know what to do (x5)

probably going to be one of my facourite songs of all time. it's haunting and almost heartbreaking if you kept lstening to it. and i had been doing that ever since i've finally found it on friday.

finished Deathly Hallows today and i was kinda amazed by my determination to finish the book before the weekend ends. after completing the book, i wondered, would i do the same thing as Harry did? and i was stumped. but given the circumstances that Harry has gone through, i believe i would do the same thing too and feel what Ron had felt at then. now i understood why fans wanted Rowling to keep writing, cuz after finishing the book i wanted more, and not to see the final ending that would have sealed the end of Harry's adventures. but well, everything has to end some day isn't it?

after this weekend, the focus would now be solely for what lies ahead for many of us in 36days and 100days respectively. let's hope i would have the determination to press on, just like the determination that i had for in finishing the book in a day.

sometimes it's the simplicity of things that make everything else so complicated.

okay. i know you all love me so much that you can't bear not to see an update from me aye! saw all your tags and i'm like, WOW. to yy fy pj xx: I MISS YOU ALL! though pj i'm seeing you tomorrow again. for e 3rd consecutive saturday. hahahha. and xx farewell is coming soon! omg.

the thing is, the internet connection at my home is down, so i can't go online! thus i'm stuck at the school library using the slow computer typing this entry down! infact, i think i'm only left with 16minutes before my physics tutorial starts. =x

anyway. i think having no internet connection is a good thing, cuz it will repel me away from my computer and thus i would spend lesser time in front of the computer! and then i would study! yes! now that it's only 38days away to prelims the more i should mug! that's something i've really decided to do after receiving my HORRENDOUS blocktest2 results. i'm easily the last in class cann. :((((

besides, life has been quite mundane these days. it's all about school and home. i realised i love staying at home! cuz can nua as much as i can. hahha! and the perks in school are making me happier each day and i dunno why. :D

ohyes. was at yy's blog just now when i saw the tag from jiaqing about meeting up soon (last friday is cupboard day! for a moment i was puzzled when i saw yy's entry. opps). i think some time in e middle of august, cuz vincent told me like last week that he would be away in India for a week or so and he would only arrive back on 10th August. (he's quite sad that he's gonna miss NDP) and i saw weekeong today! whacked him lightly and he said i'm still the same. HA!

last thing. fy i'm at HALF-BLOOD PRINCE le!!! gonna chiong the last 400+ pages (my friend reckon i can clear 100+ pages in 30mins and i reckon she's crazy. hah) today and then it's DEATHLY HALLOWS tomorrow! my mum thought that the post office would open at midnight so that people can go and collect at midnight. lol!

crazy weekend ahead!

38days more! GOSH.

Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway

Grew up in a small town
And when the rain would fall down
I just stared out of my window
Dreaming of what could be
And if I'd end up happy
I would pray (I would pray)

Trying hard to reach out
But when I'd try to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me
Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I pray (I would pray)
I could break away

Chorus:
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky
I'll make a wish
Take a chance
Make a change
And break away
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I loved
I'll take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And break away

Wanna feel the warm breeze
Sleep under a palm tree
Feel the rush of the ocean
Get onboard a fast train
Travel on a jet plane, far away (I will)
And break away

(Chorus)

Buildings with a hundred floors
Swinging around revolving doors
Maybe I don't know where they'll take me but
Gotta keep moving on, moving on
Fly away, break away

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
Though it's not easy to tell you goodbye
I gotta take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And break away
Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget the place I come from
I gotta take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And break away, break away, break away

*
you are not wanted in my life right now. maybe i'll think about it after A's, provided it's still there after i've survived through the next four months.

PRIORITISE.

time fades off everything, even memories.

there are some things that i've been trying to ignore and not to feel guilty or to have mixed feelings about them. but i finally realised i cannot run away anymore.

p.s. bedok reservoir has a rather breathtaking view of sunset and blue sky with the clear water. i wouldn't mind living in bedok just for that.

AGI'06 COMM IS LOVE!

kinda got woken up by the thunder early in the morning at around 7. kinda got ready to leave the house for pulau ubin (even though i was tempted to bail out earlier on while feeling damn cosy in my bed as the thunderstorm raged outside) when i saw the message that the pulau ubin trip is cancelled cuz of the rain. and i spent quite a number of messages with jiayan cuz i'm not keen on going as my foreign reserves are shrinking at a rapid rate and she's trying to convince me to go. and when i did, it rained.

so i ended up going grocery shopping with mom and dad. kinda nice cuz bought sushi, mrbean combo c (but dun ever get HOT pearly soyamilk cuz it tasted kinda bland with the pearls! always get it cold and it's best to get ice-blended!) and a mrbean soft toy! :D

then kinda rushed to meet jiayan and some of the C zone (from Heart of God church) people at starbucks near heeren. chatted a bit for like 30mins before i rushed off for city hall. took 124 but alighted like so many stops earlier. went to the mrt station but nobody's there. so i went off to One Fullerton to meet peijun. her table at starbucks got a good view of the area at Marina Bay for NDP'07! today's e preview for the p5 kids and seriously, this year's goodie bags looked WAY TOO BIG for the kids. too bad i didn't manage to see the marching contingents. ):

then celine came around. she got changed and we went to meet leovine at haagen dazs at esplanade for an ice-cream treat! i love the cone chips! looked kinda like almonds but it's NICE! and i realised after so long that belgian chocolate ain't very nice at all. kinda related belgian choc with dark choc but seriously, it's a lot of difference. so i shall stick to Chocolate Chocolate Chip as my love for haagen dazs ice-cream! too bad mum didn't buy ben&jerry's from fairprice cuz it's going on a promotion for 2tubs at $18.75. ):

while eating and talking about universities, qingjun and yeanlih contacted leovine that they're done with nat comp preparations and then we set off to meet them at J8. criticised about leovine's attire from then onwards. so sorry eh. :P

met up outside macs and chatted. then melvin came and we went to arcade! watched qj melvin yeanlih played bball machine and got this guy who's damn pro at it. then qj yeanlih celine pj raced cars and qj yeanlih played time crisis 3. one had faulty pedal and the other faulty gun. ha!

then zelda came! we played around with her jue stick (she's part of the marching people who's doing slow march as part of the Guard of Honour for this year's AGI) after we realised to our disappointment that the neoprint shop closed down. boo. and took us quite long to decide where to eat before we finally settled at Secret Recipe. celebrated an early birthday for melvin! kinda funny to stick a candle on top of a slice of cheese cake. and the cakes are REALLY NICE! (:

after that pj left and we went walking around. bought a barney balloon for melvin! then walked around a bit more before we settled down at the same tables outside macs (leovine left at that point of time) and we girls start to probe the guys about their gossips! (cuz we girls only have eyecandies and no scandals. :D) and so qj the one whom we've probed for so long finally told us the gist of his gossip!

soon after that we finally parted.

i love AGI comm to bits even though i joined the group so late! (like 2weeks before the actual execution of plans) remembered that when i was heading for HQ for my very first AGI meeting, i actually met qingjun along the way (i remembered that he's from sierra n in AGI comm) but he looked so dao back then and we walked separate ways. but by the next meeting we can actually talk crap! same thing goes for the people whom i only know for the first meeting (which is actually melvin qingjun yeanlih only cuz huihui's my classmate, zelda's my schoolmate, leovine's my group mate and i've already known celine n pj)!

come to think about it, i dun even keep in contact with most of the Juilets! so bad. ):

anyway. can't wait for the next outing, though it's probably after A's! cuz some dun wanna go this year's AGI. ):

ahyes! huihui's being missed!

tomorrow's national comp! best wishes for zone3 teams! (though i'm crossing my fingers about some)

finished blocktest2 on wednesday and was slacking from then onwards. shopped around Plaza Singapura for like 4hours. (initially with bernice and elaine, and later with jiayan) walked up and down the levels like some idiots. haha.

then played games until i nearly went crazy. finished the third Harry Potter book and gonna start on the fourth soon. i'm aiming to finish all six books before Deathly Hallows come out 2 weekends later. (:

honestly, i thought today is saturday. cuz i was slacking the day away. sa is not in the right mind to start lessons today at 1pm lo. is it really that difficult to grant the j2s another day of holiday? or that is to make sure the designated group of us are attending College Day?

met up with peijun and waiching today and the weather is really darn hot! yy said that i looked very man, and i thought i wasn't, cuz i wore a rather fitting tee + shorts + a bag that pj said is feminine. uhhhh.

tomorrow's the Live Earth concerts, so please wear GREEN as part of the movement! for starters i'm gonna wear a green top tomorrow when i meet up with AGI'06 comm! maybe i would top it off with a olive-greenish bottom too! :DDD

anyway switched back to this blogskin cuz i got kinda sick looking at the distorted blogskin that i've done. (:

Eagles - Hotel California

On a dark desert highway
Cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas
Rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance
I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy, and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself
This could be heaven or this could be hell
Then she lit up a candle
And she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor
I thought I heard them say

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of the year (any time of the year)
You can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany twisted
She's got the Mercedes bends
She's got a lot of pretty, pretty boys
That she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard
Sweet summer sweat
Some dance to remember
Some dance to forget
So I called up the Captain
Please bring me my wine
He said
We haven't had that spirit here since 1969
And still those voices are calling from far away
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
They're livin' it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
Bring your alibies

Mirrors on the ceiling
Pink champagne on ice
And she said
We are all just prisoners here
Of our own device
And in the master's chambers
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives
But they just can't kill the beast
Last thing I remember
I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back to the place I was before
Relax said the nightman
We are programmed to receive
You can check out any time you like
But you can never leave

8:50 PM

How You Are In Love

You fall in love quickly and easily. And very often.

You give and take equally in relationships.

You tend to get very attached when you're with someone. You want to see your love all the time.

You're secretly hoping your partner will change for you.

You stay in love for a long time, even if you aren't loved back. When you fall, you fall hard.

uhh. quite apt.
