HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!

bah. kena influenced by mervyn who seems so excited about National Day that he's counting down online. LOL.

reached home just in time to catch some parts of the parade. and as i watched on, it just reminds me of the NDP that i've participated 3 years ago. BAH.

there're loads of memories, like the Saturdays that we sacrificed to be at the National Stadium, standing under the hot sun for an hour for each rehearsal; the endless KFC food that we got tired of, and the Pizza Hut food that only popped up towards the last few weeks before the actual day; the endless Polar mineral water and the Kwong Guan biscuits that the officers insisted on us that we must finish them all; the Polo sweet that i always bring along for rehearsals (they call me the sweet shop. hehe); the rehearsal where we hafta stand in the rain, and another rehearsal where a Boys Brigade boy (they were standing behind us) fainted; the square white umbrella that we used to form the Singapore flag, the Walls ice-cream that e 5 of us (me celine peijun jiaqing jingjie) adore to eat. and many more.

i miss NDP. awww. and the National Stadium will be gone. but i'll be looking forward to NDP 2008, cuz it'll be Zone 3 and 4's turn to form the marching contingent! (:

just did e normal celebrations. e message from Minister of MOE, CIP with the MINDS people (initially i thought they were all kids) until like 1pm. e concert quite nice. heh.

and i like Home really much. one of the few National Day songs that remain etched in my mind. it's really meaningful you see.

after the whole thing went to Junction 8 with peixuan liting zhenyew. walked around J8 with peixuan zhenyew while liting met up with her secondary school friends, who include sutyee wingyan! heh.

saw some of the Andersonians around, like my council juniors viting huda, people of my batch like yvonne.tan nyukmin. whee. hee. and met up with zhikai (so qiao that he came over to Junction 8!) to buy shiyun's birthday present. then met up with waikuan clarissa too. (:

ate some ice-cream at Swensens! left for City Hall with wingyan at around 4.40pm. ended up we're e earliest to reach there. lol. met up with 0622 people! hee. and met other people around there too, like junkiat yongsheng (+ his girlfriend. hehe) jianliang (he finally recognized me after a while. heh) stanley simone. met other people like xuelin jiayi (she's REALLY PRETTY!!!!! *swoons) along e way. and weishen at the big staircase outside Marina Square.

had 0622 outing! hee. got me chinping audrey michelle wingyan karthini weeter zhiheng gerald. cally xiying henry cheohao joined us later.

initially wanted to have dinner buffet at Sakae Sushi. the Citylink branch said Suntec City branch have. but when we reached there, they said only Funan IT Mall branch have. and then Karthini thought that Funan is in China. LOL.

and yar, it's always entertaining when you put gerald karthini together. we laughed our heads off while in Swensen's as they debated. haha. gerald kena KO-ed by karthini. hahahah. and we sang birthday song for michelle! heee.

after dinner went to the big staircase at Marina Square. went to find chinping audrey few mintues before the actual thing. but got to see the fireworks. VERY PRETTY. hehehe. but the bad thing is there's no reception for like quite a long time after the fireworks and it's really congested. i left at around 10 and then before reaching the escalators to Citylink Mall we're directed to climb some freaking stairs and ended up somewhere outside and opposite Raffles City. doinks.

reached home just minutes before 11. haha.

then today left the house at around 9am plus. for once the guys are early. HEHE. went to Long John Silvers at Marina Square. only me zhikai ordered breakfast, cuz it's like 30mins before the lunch comes out. hahah. but LJS quite bad lar. before the lunch oso dun have fries, even though it's only less than 30mins from 11 lo. so mean.

then while eating, caught sight of shanhong walking past LJS. went out and gave him a surprise. then accompanied him to the arcade and watched him play tennis game. ahhha. he crazy guy mann. went all the way from Suntec City. haha. met him at the arcade again when the whole bunch of us went up to the arcade to play games. haha. played some dumb games with shiyun. later with zhikai zhiwen. HAH.

after playing went to watch Click. nice movie! damn hilarious, especially about the dog(s) and the duck part. hahahh. and it's quite touching towards the end. yeppp. though the rest have opinions towards the ending for the movie. like should have ended when Adam Sandler died. bahh.

after that went to buy some stuff at S&K (for weide) and then NewUrbanMale for me. bought the flipflops! (cuz today my mum asked me if i would wear her slippers, and i said i wanna buy other slippers and showed her the Havaianas Asia website. then she gave me e money to buy the flipflops! wheee) took me quite some time to decide between the one i bought and the blue Brazilian Patia (sth liddat) flipflops which the others prefered. heh.

then went to Ang Mo Kio K Pool to play pool. got to play one round that took damn long to end. haha. it was plain playing cheat for the last 3 balls. haha.

quite meaningful songs that gave me e goosebumps when i listened, ie makes me feel patriotic. cuz got someone who once told me that he would leave Singapore after he earned some money. although it's like, okay, the town area is getting a tad boring (i'm now progressing from Orchard Road to City Hall le), but i don't see why you shouldnt stay in Singapore. although i have aspirations of having a job that will get me all across the globe, but i still want to stay here.
